Throughout the year we host talks, visits, and practical workshops, along with informal gatherings where members can exchange knowledge, plants, and inspiration. Our aim is simple: to deepen our understanding of gardening while fostering a sense of community around the shared joy of cultivating beautiful and productive gardens.

What a wonderful tour of the Gardens, led by our favourite Head Gardener, Joe Whitehead. Drawing on his extensive knowledge and experience, Joe provided fascinating insights into the history of the Gardens, their ongoing development, and the many challenges and rewards of caring for them throughout the year.
The beautiful gardens were a delight to explore, and it was especially interesting to gain a behind-the-scenes glimpse into life beyond the visitor routes. Highlights included the private South Gardens, the Sculpture Garden and the Garden of Surprises, with Joe sharing stories, seasonal highlights, and the planning, planting and dedication that keep these remarkable gardens thriving.
